Important: ALL KEYS LOST cannot be performed via a remote AIR session. NASTF policy explicitly requires physical presence for this procedure — it's a hard limit, not a shop-by-shop variation.

Why Can't All-Keys-Lost Be Done Remotely?

Establishing a base key enrollment on a vehicle with no existing keys is a high-risk procedure from a theft standpoint. NASTF policy requires this work happen in person, with the technician physically verifying ownership documentation, identity, and that the vehicle is in the shop's legitimate custody. Remote execution bypasses the controls that make the system secure.

What Does the Process Look Like?

  1. Ownership verification — confirming identity and legal connection to the vehicle
  2. Key generation — cutting a new key to the vehicle's cut specification
  3. Key enrollment — programming the key into the immobilizer to establish base enrollment

Once a working enrolled key exists, any additional keys can often be added through a standard AIR session — which we do remotely.
