When an ignition binds or a key won’t turn, forcing it can create bigger problems. We disassemble, clean, and re‑pin cylinders; replace worn wafers and springs; and match the repaired cylinder to your existing keys when possible.
For broken keys or stuck wafers, we use extraction tools and service procedures that protect the housing, column, and steering lock components. If the switch or electronic reader is at fault, we test and replace those parts as needed.
Our process saves you money by fixing the existing part. Often for less than buying a new ignition switch we can permanently fix your existing switch. Another bonus of fixing the existing switch, as if saving hundreds of dollars is not enough, is that you get to keep the same key for both engine and door locks.
After repair, we verify smooth operation through all positions and check for immobilizer handshake. We can also cut fresh keys to match the restored cylinder and disable old keys for security.
