Free to Get Started
NASTF offers a free account tier that any shop can create at nastf.org. This account gives you access to industry resources, reprogramming information, and the NASTF Learning Center. There is no monthly subscription or annual fee just to hold the account.
The AIR Transaction Fee
When you upgrade to the AIR (Assisted Immobilizer Reprogramming) tier and start submitting remote programming requests, NASTF charges $45 for your first 5 completed transactions per year. After those 5 sessions, any additional requests for the remainder of that calendar year are free. Your actual cost is $9 per session for the first five — not a per-vehicle fee on every job.
This fee goes to NASTF directly and is separate from your AIR provider's session rate.
AIR Provider Fees
AIR providers set their own rates. We quote before you commit — call 610-365-3313 with the VIN and module and we'll give you a price before the session starts.
When you add it up: NASTF annual block ($45 for your first 5 sessions) + provider fee + your labor. For most programming jobs, this is still well under what a dealer charges — and you control the timeline.
What You Need Before Your First Session
- Free NASTF account at nastf.org
- A J2534-compatible passthru device
- Laptop on wall power (wired ethernet preferred)
- AnyDesk and Flexihub installed
- Battery maintainer on the vehicle
