Before the Session Starts

The vehicle needs to be on a battery maintainer — not just a running charger, but a proper maintainer holding a steady voltage. A voltage drop mid-flash can brick a module. Your laptop should be on wall power and connected to ethernet if available — a dropped WiFi connection at the wrong moment costs you a module.

You'll also need AnyDesk and Flexihub installed. AnyDesk is the remote desktop tool we use to see your screen. Flexihub shares your J2534 device over the network so our OEM software sees it as if it were local. Both install in minutes, and we walk you through Flexihub setup on your first session.

Step by Step

  1. Call us at 610-365-3313 with the VIN, the module being programmed, and what happened. We quote and confirm coverage.
  2. Connect the battery maintainer, open AnyDesk, and give us your session ID by phone or text.
  3. We connect to your desktop via AnyDesk. You'll see our cursor moving — that's normal.
  4. We launch Flexihub on your machine and tokenize your J2534 device so our OEM software can reach it remotely.
  5. Programming runs on our end — Ford IDS, GM GDS2, TechAuthority, or whatever the OEM requires.
  6. Programming completes. We send a screenshot confirming the successful flash and provide final instructions — key cycles, relearns, first-start checks.

Note: Remote AIR sessions cannot perform ALL KEYS LOST procedures. NASTF policy requires physical presence for that. See our all-keys-lost guide.

How Long Does It Take?

Most sessions are 30–90 minutes. PCM flashes are typically faster; immobilizer relearns can take longer if key cycles are required between stages. We give you a realistic estimate when we quote.
